Woman Arrested for Theft

At approximately 7:00 pm on Friday, August 16, 2019 police responded to a business located on Strathy Road in the Town of Cobourg after receiving a report of an after the fact theft of merchandise from the premise. The suspect had reportedly exited the store passing all points of purchase making no attempt to pay for the items she had in her possession.

As a result of a police investigation, 37-year-old, Danale McCarrell of Cobourg was located on August 26, 2019 and arrested and charged with:

  1. Theft under $5000 and Possession of Property obtained by crime contrary to section 355(b) under the Criminal Code

McCarrell was released from custody, scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in September 2019.
