Cobourg Police investigated a theft regarding a debit card and its unauthorized use at an ATM over a two-week period where over $13,000.00 was stolen.
As a result of the investigation on August 29, 2019, 41-year-old Cobourg resident Susan Mikus was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Fraud under $5,000.00 x13 contrary to section380(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of Property obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00 x13 contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code
- Unauthorized use of Credit Card data x13 contrary to sec. 342(3) of the Criminal Code
Susan Mikus was released from custody on a Promise to Appear and an Officer in Charge Undertaking with a future court date.
