At approximately 0200 am on May 25, 2013, Cobourg Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck a residential garage. 

On arrival, officers found a motor vehicle embedded in a Frei St. address, having gone through the garage doors, and striking a vehicle inside the garage.  Damage to the vehicle and the residence is estimated in the tens of thousands.

Witnesses report the driver, a female, left the scene prior to Police arrival.  She was located a short distance away after a call from a Booth St. resident. The female was arrested and checked at Northumberland Hills hospital as a precaution.

As a result of the investigation, the female was charged with Impaired Driving, driving over .08 and Failing to Stop.  Investigation is on-going and further charges may be pending.
