On Thursday the 12th day of November 2015 at approximately 10:40 pm, Cobourg police officers responded to a theft in progress call in the area of the condo complex at 165 Division Street in the Town of Cobourg.

Information received that a male was going into vehicle and taking property.   Upon arrival police located a male fitting the description.   The suspect was stopped by police on the north side of Albert Street in the parking lot behind the CIBC Bank. 

The male immediately ran and a foot pursuit was initiated.  Police apprehended the male a short distance away.  As a result of the incident Andrew Drysdale, 23 years of age, was arrested was charged with two count of theft under $5000, two count of possession of property obtained by crime, mischief, Fail to comply with probation order, and carrying a concealed weapon.    The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing to commence Friday the 13 day of November at 9:30am.
