The Port Hope Police Criminal Investigations Bureau and Cobourg Police Criminal Investigations Bureau has made an arrest in connection with a home invasion/robbery incident that was reported on the 15th of July 2015.

In that case, it is alleged that 3 men entered an apartment on Walton St and assaulted two men inside and stole some items. On the 22nd July 2015 a 21 Year old Cobourg man was arrested in connection with this case.

Charged with Robbery, Break and Enter and Commit and indictable offence and aggravated assault is Tyler McBride. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Charged with Robbery from summer of 2014

A 19 year old male is under arrest in connection with an incident that occurred in the summer of 2014 where it is alleged 3 suspects entered an Ontario Street apartment In Port Hope, assaulted an occupant and robbed him of cash. Police were never contacted about the incident. The investigation commenced as a result of current investigation concerning a home invasion and robbery.

On the 21st of July 2015 Port Hope Police Criminal Investigations Bureau in conjunction with Cobourg Police Criminal Investigations Bureau conducted a search warrant on a King St address in Cobourg after arresting a man outside of the residence. 19 year old Judge Noble James Boudreau of Cobourg is charged with robbery, break and enter and possession of a controlled drug. He is in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

Port Hope Police officers are continuing the investigation into both incidents and expect to make more arrests.  At this time police feel there is no immediate threat to the community at large as it is believed that these were specifically targeted incidents.
