On the 3rd day of May, 2019 Port Hope resident Robert Bremner, 40 years of age, was observed on video surveillance at a Spring Street business in the Town of Cobourg. He selected a number of items and exited the store without having paid for any of the items he had selected.
On the 9th Day of May 2019 Robert Bremner turned himself in to the Cobourg Police Service.
As a result of the police investigation he was charged with 1 count of Theft Under $5000 contrary to Section 334 (b) of the Criminal Code and 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to Section 355(b) of the Criminal Code.
Robert Bremner was released on a Promise to Appear in court along with conditions to abide by as part of an Officer in Charge Undertaking.
