Officers To Visit Local Breakfast Clubs

Officers Attending Local Elementary School's "Breakfast Clubs"

On Tuesday February 17th, 2015 the Cobourg Police Service will be launching their new initiative which involves Officer joining students during their "Breakfast/Nutrition Break Club" time.

It is believed "If a child starts their day with a good breakfast, they have a better ability to learn, be social and participate in activities".

Officers from the Cobourg Police Service will attend local schools daily during their "Breakfast/Nutrition Break" on a rotational basis.  Every week, each school will have an Officer attend their school once a week. The officer will have an opportunity to interact with the students during this time, hoping to build bonds between the youth and the police.

On Tuesday February 17th, 2015 at 8:30 am we invite the media to attend with us to our first "Breakfast Club". Officers of the Cobourg Police Service will be at the Northumberland Christian School, located at 8861 Danforth Road, Cobourg.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Sgt Nancy Saunders of the Cobourg Police at 905-372-6821 ext 2225.
