On August 21, 2019, at approximately 12:45 pm, police responded to a business in the downtown core once receiving a complaint of an after the fact theft.
As a result of subsequent police investigation 33-year-old Kory Trenouth of Cobourg was arrested and charged with:
- Theft under $5000.00 contrary to Section 355(b) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to section 355(b) the Criminal Code
Trenouth was released from police custody scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in September 2019
