On Wednesday the 4th day of September 2019, at approximately 3:15 am, Officers on Patrol in the downtown core located a male who was currently sought by the Ontario Provincial Police on the strength of an outstanding arrest warrant. The male attempted to flee the area on foot when advised he was under arrest.
As a result of a subsequent investigation, 33 year old Kyler GRIEDER of Cobourg was arrested and charged with Assault Police with intent to resist arrest, two counts of assault Police, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of a Weapon in a Motor Vehicle, and four counts of Possession of a Weapon Contrary to Prohibition order under the Criminal Code.
Additionally, GRIEDER was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled Substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. GRIEDER was held in custody scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice for a bail hearing on the 4th day of September 2019.
