The Cobourg Police Service wish to invite you to consider joining their Police Volunteer Group.

The CPVs are "dedicated to making a difference in our community" through a proactive partnership with the Cobourg Police Service involving a variety of highly visible, non-confrontational activities in areas of safety, security, and the support service, in order to preserve and enhance the quality of life in Cobourg.

The Cobourg Police Service is very proud of our Volunteer contingent. Over twenty-five Cobourg citizens volunteer their time to assist the Service in a variety of capacities including child fingerprinting, railway safety and special event assistance and security. The Cobourg Police Volunteers were awarded the 2003 Civic Award by the Town of Cobourg, and several volunteers have received individual Civic Awards.

Volunteers attend training sessions to adapt to and understand the operating procedures. Serving the public at the police station reception desk, helping the public at the "Trailer in the Park", acting as helpers at annual town activities and being partners with the Cobourg Police Services are rewarding experiences.

On Tuesday February 24th between the hours of 9:00 am and 12 noon we invite you to attend the Cobourg Police Station at 107 King Street West, Cobourg to meet with Leslie Battie , the Recruitment Coordinator for the Cobourg Police Volunteers.

For more information on volunteering, please visit the Cobourg Police website at www.cobourgpolice.com or contact the Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator Leslie Battie at (905) 372-6821 ext. 2229 or ext. 2240.
