On Tuesday the 8th of March, 2016, Cobourg Police took a report of a missing adult female.

Police responded to the call as per regular process, and sent out a media release and utilized Social Media to share the emergency.

Chief Kai Liu would like to thank the members of Cobourg Police Service, OCEAP, and the numerous community members for their assistance. This is an amazing sign that our community cares for one another.

From a Social Media perspective, there 146 “re-tweets”, 7933 impressions, 1438 engagements. Based on this it generated awareness, concern and information. By the end of the event, over 17,000 people were reached.

On the Cobourg Police Facebook page, over 103,926 people were reached.

This engagement resulted in the information being shared over 4,000 times and resulted in contact from the public via over 220 comments of support or information
