Fight leads to drug charges

On July 7th, 2016 at approximately 11:23pm, police responded to a fight call, directly in front of the Cobourg police station.

Police observed a fight in progress in the Mac’s Milk parking lot between two males.  Police ordered both males to the ground and directed them to stop fighting and they complied.  Police arrested both of the males involved for causing a disturbance by fighting.  Police conducted a search incident to arrest of both male combatants. 

Police located a small quantity of crack cocaine in the front pocket of one of the combatant’s pants.

As a result of the police investigation, 37 year old Brighton resident Donald Pike was charged with Possession of of controlled substance and released on an appearance notice.
