CCTV cameras increased to 4 in Downtown CoreWarning - this news article expired on 2015-04-17. Information may no longer be accurate or applicable Cobourg Police and the Cobourg D.B.I.A. have made the downtown even safer with the recent addition of two more CCTV cameras. They have been installed at the corner of King and Division Streets and King and George Streets.

This complements the existing cameras located on the Boardwalk and Swayne Street.

Two more cameras are planned for the near future and they will likely be installed in Victoria Park and on the lighthouse at the pier.

The cameras run on a 72 hour cycle and do not require a person to monitor them.

If they need to be viewed, the 72 hour tape would be retrieved by a town employee.
