Three Males Arrested for Break and Enter, Mischief under $5000

This date at approx. 3:35 pm members of the Cobourg Police Service, Criminal Investigations Branch and Uniform Patrol Unit responded to a George St residence and arrested three males for Break and Enter and Mischief under $5000.

The residence was presently up for sale and unoccupied. However attendance by the selling real-estate agent located three males within the garage area. The garage door had been damaged to gain entry. Search of garage by Police located the three accused males along with personal items belonging to the accused males within garage.

As a result of the police investigation the three accused males were charged with Break and Enter and commit the indictable offence of Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code.

ACCUSED; 41year old, Adrian BATEMAN is charged with Break and Enter and commit the indictable offence of Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code.

CO-ACCUSED; 47 year old, John McGEOWN is charged with Break and Enter and commit the indictable offence of Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code.

CO-ACCUSED; 49 year old, Taras OSTAPIAK is charged with Break and Enter and commit the indictable offence of Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code.

Accused males were released on a Promise to Appear with conditions not to associate with each other and to stay away from subject residence. Accused males will be appearing in court on the 26yh day of August 2015.

Police support any assistance from citizens of Cobourg regarding suspicious activity within the Town of Cobourg.
