On Wednesday February 10 , 2016 the Cobourg Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch became involved in an investigation involving a shipment of computer equipment believed to have been purchased with stolen credit card information.

Police were able to track the delivery, 10 boxes of Apple I-Pad Pros to an address in the Town of Cobourg.

A male attended this address and after receiving and paying fees on the merchandise the male was arrested on possession of Property Obtained by Crime Charges without incident.

The accused, Ahmad ANSARI of Toronto, was transported to the Cobourg Police Station and later released on a promise to appear to a court date on March 23, 2016 in Cobourg.

Police recovered approximately $13,000.00 in property during the arrest.
