A John Street resident has reported to Cobourg police the theft of a number of cameras and equipment from his residence on Friday evening, September 3.
The owner was away from his residence at the time of theft between 8:00 – 10:15 p.m., and according to the complainant, the house was locked. Upon his return to the house, he noticed the rear door was unlocked.
A while later he noticed that a number of cameras had been stolen from a locked cabinet in the house and from a back pack on the floor.
The complaint told police that whoever was responsible for the theft must have known of the existence of the cameras and where the cabinet key was located.
All of the cameras and items were made by Canon and the total amount of the theft is approximately $15,000.00.
