financial office broken into

Sometime overnight on Sunday, August 22 or early Monday morning, Citifinancial on Division Street was broken into.

The front door of the business was pried open allowing the culprit(s) to enter the building.

A small amount of cash was stolen.

Other doors and drawers inside were also pried open before the thieves left.

There is no estimate on the total damage.

Police are hoping for a witness or suspect information from the public.

Cobourg Police are investigating the break and enter of a business on Brook Road North which occurred sometime over the past weekend.

A large piece of cement was used to smash a rear window. Once inside, the culprit(s) stole approximately 90 feet of copper wire and some cash.

Sometime between August 13 and 16, an unknown person through a rock at a large window causing it to smash, in a new condominium on University Avenue East.

The building was under construction at the time and the double-thermal glass picture window will cost $2,500.00 to replace.

catalytic converters stolen

Three Chevrolet Venture vans were targeted on Sunday evening, August 15 while parked in the lot at the Fellowship Baptist Church.

Sometime between 6:30 and 8:15 p.m., while the owners were attending a church meeting, thieves cut and removed the converters from the three vans.

The cuts were clean and sharp and made by an unknown tool.

vehicle rear-ended, driver charged

The driver of car stopped to make a left turn onto Munroe Street was taken to hospital after being rear-ended by a van.

The crash occurred on Friday, August 13 at 1:00 p.m.

Both vehicles had been southbound on Division Street.

The driver of the trailing vehicle, a 48 year old Toronto resident and has been charged with careless driving.

The driver of the car which was struck, a 25 year old female from Edmonton, suffered unknown injuries.

Both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.
