What do you need to apply?

Applicant must attent in person with two pieces of identification. One piece of identification must be photo (Example: Driver's Licence).

When can applications be made?

Monday to Friday - 9:00 A.M. To 5:00 P.M.

How much does it cost to have a Criminal Information Request (Criminal Record Check)?

Volunteers - $5.00 plus g.s.t.
Students (Under 18) - $5.00 plus g.s.t.
Employment - $25.00 plus g.s.t.

While You Wait Option is an additional $15.00 plus g.s.t. In order to qualiy for While You Wait option you must have resided within the Town of Cobourg for the previous five (5) years.

How long does it take to process a record check?

If you have resided in the Town of Cobourg during the last five (5) years - 5 business days.

If you have resided outside of the Town of Cobourg during the last five (5) years - Approximatley 15 business days.

How do I get my completed record check?

If you checked off the "mail" option, the completed reuqest will be mailed to the address given on the form.

For pickup you will receive a telephone call once your record check is completed and you must attend in person to pick it up. You will be required to show proper identification.

The check will be kept on file for thirty (30) days. If it is not claimed within this time period it will be destroyed.
